Mountain Home, Arkansas is a town of approximately 12,500 residents tucked away in the beautiful Ozark Mountains and is known as one of the best retirement and vacation spots in the nation. 

Mountain Home is home to Baxter Regional Medical Center, a 268 all-private bed facility with more than 100 physicians on staff. The town also home to Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) which offers 2-year degrees, 4-year degrees through Arkansas State University and non-credit courses for community education.

As the economic hub for north central Arkansas and south central Missouri, Mountain Home is the commercial center for the region, offering both local businesses and your favorite national retailers such as Home Depot and Hobby Lobby. 

Lake Norfork and Bull Shoals Lake will beckon you in the summer months to spend some time boating, skiing, or just lounging lakeside. Hiking trails along the Buffalo River and White River will tempt the more adventurous to come discover their secrets. Year-round fishing attracts anglers to all our waterways. 

The historic town of Cotter rests on a horseshoe bend in the river roughly 18 miles downstream of the Bull Shoals Lake Dam. The quaint town features restaurants, outfitters, historic bridge, gorgeous riverside park with spring and a popular scenic overlook. With over 4 miles of riverfront access, Cotter is smack in the middle of the world famous stretches of river tail-waters that produce not only enormous fish, but lots of them! Cotter and the White River is fabled trout fishing at its finest.
